An Aperitif with the Artists – Angelika Reitzer, Michael Goldgruber
Tuesday 29 April, 18:30 – MLZ Art Dep, via Roma 15, Trieste

The event featured Angelika Reitzer and Michael Goldgruber, artists in residence with AiR Trieste, in conversation with Francesca Lazzarini. The dialogue unfolded through stories, images, presentations of works, and personal anecdotes, offering the audience a convivial opportunity to explore the creative trajectories and reflections of the two artists.

Although both share Styrian origins, Reitzer and Goldgruber have developed distinct artistic practices—different in approach yet equally intense—capable of generating meaningful encounters. The discussion addressed their relationship with Trieste, ongoing research, and previously realized works, weaving together themes such as transforming rural landscapes, collective and personal memory, and the role of art in narrating environmental and climate change, as well as broader contemporary challenges.

The residency of Angelika Reitzer and Michael Goldgruber was made possible with the support of the Cultural Department of the Province of Styria.
