Andrea Stift-Laube
Andrea Stift-Laube was born in Southern Styria in 1976. She studied linguistics, german language and cultural studies. Stift-Laube is a writer, cultural mediator, and editor of Lichtungen – Zeitschrift für Literatur, Kunst und Zeitkritik (Lichtungen – Journal for Literature, Art, and Contemporary Criticism). Her interdisciplinary work repeatedly takes her to the intersections of music, theater, and visual arts.
Recent publications: Schiff oder Schornstein (Kremayr & Scheriau 2019), and Ehrgeiz (Kremayr & Scheriau 2023).
Latest awards: Project grant from the Austrian Ministry of Arts 2024/25, Essay Prize Wiener Arbeiterkammer 2024, Grant from Literar Mechana 2025/26.
In Trieste, she will focus on mobility in general and the tramway Trieste-Opicina in particular through literature and photography.
